In the late 80's, Mike Gonzalez, the owner of MAG BUILDERS, started as a laborer for a leading construction company. There, he acquired foundational construction skills and discovered his passion for building. In 1987, Mike began independent contracting for residential construction, which lead to building custom homes.

After the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, Mike began residential and commercial retrofit projects in the Los Angeles area. Today, MAG BUILDERS continues this important soft-story retrofit work on multi-level apartments and other commercial building to help building owners comply with building and safety codes and ensure the safety of California residents.
